An obsession constantly repeated and placed in our minds. An obsession constantly repeated and placed in our minds. An obsession that means so much to us, but is really nothing at all.

I'm quite glad this short has found itself on this website. I think that people need to be exposed to different methods of filmmaking, and this video does just that. Too often, we are brainwashed with commercial and stereotypical junk that traps our mindset into a very specific and limited view on film. Even with the other submissions on this site, too much is objective and straightforward. This submission intrigues me due to its abstract and truly experimental style. What's interesting is that the theme is vague enough so that us, the viewers, can make our own ideas as to how this video relates to an obsession. This subjectivity is quite "out of the box", and I think really captures the beauty of the true endless possibilities of creativity and filmmaking. Anyone who is a fan of Bokanowski or Jodorowski should recognize similar traits and appreciate the apparent inspiration. As for those not used to experimentalism, my advice is to keep an open mind and to acknowledge the fact that this doesn't follow the particular traditional/hollywood style. Try to free yourself from premade judgments before you negatively compare this to what is commonly portrayed in the media.
