Now that I know what iThentic is, how does it work?
Our primary offering is video content delivered to and viewable on mobile phones and other handheld devices. Content producers submit their “mobisodes”; our staff of indie film vets reviews all submissions and chooses the best to make available through iThentic. Subscribers either: scroll through their wireless provider's video offerings to find iThentic (menu set-ups vary), browse iThentic's channels and choose mobisodes to watch OR access iThentic through WAP (i.e. the internet of the wireless world). We’re working with wireless carriers and technology partners to provide viewers the best possible experience.
What is a mobisode?
We define a mobisode as a 1 to 3 minute audio/visual work made for mobile and other wireless platforms.
What types of mobisodes is iThentic looking for?
Anything and everything. Make it smart. Make it original. Think beyond the boundaries of traditional video. Come up with new formats and new forms of expression that will translate effectively to the small screen. There are no limitations on genre, topic, sequence, or presentation (but please, no pornography or copyright infringing content). Just keep each submission to under 3 minutes (mobile video consumers like bite-sized portions). We're also open to mobisode series.

What are the basic terms of the content license agreement in plain english?
You give us the non-exclusive right to distribute and promote your mobisode worldwide via the internet, mobile phones or whatever other digital platform those techies can come up with (including the right to use your video to promote iThentic). The agreement is good for 6 months from the launch of iThentic; after that either one of us can call it quits. iThentic picks what we think are the best videos and group them into "channels" on iThentic. You receive a license fee when paying subscribers watch your video (see below). You must have all the rights to everything you submit as iThentic will not be held responsible for copyright infringment, violations of privacy, etc. that arise from the use of your submissions. These are the basic terms, but please review them in detail before you submit your video, as you will need to accept the terms of the Content License Agreement before you submit.
Do I get paid for submitting my mobisode? If so, how and how much?
If your work is selected and gets at least one view, you will be paid. We pass on 25% of our share of our subscription fees to our content producers. First, to deliver the content, iThentic has to pay both the wireless carrier and our technology partner (i.e. a Mobile Service Delivery Platform). A quarter of what's left after that gets distributed to our content producers, pro-rated based on the number of views received. At the end of every quarter, we do all the math and send you a statement and a check. Please review our Content License Agreement for the full details.
Will people be able to download mobisodes that I submit?
Currently, we plan only to offer streaming video through the mobile service, as well as the iThentic website.
